Family: Love in a Letter
michael writes
What blessing this
That comes unbidden?
'Tis love unhidden -
Unmasked by ink and quill!

Family: DAD
Anonymous writes
Here is another deep writing that I wrote about 10 years ago and the title says it all...... DAD........ this subject had a serious impact in my life because I looked everywhere but to GOD at many times for a DAD and it was very troublesome. This was and is one of my most personal subjects that I deal with as a man before GOD.

Family: A Daddy Always Needed
Ashley writes
Five years old and I can't help but hear the fear
my mother carries in her voice.
I hear a loud noise
I peak around the corner
to see my father throw his fist in the counter.
They can't help but fight just like anyother night.
Another daddy is all i want.
A real dad is all i need.
Two years go by wow time sure does seem to fly
the divorce is soon
a day that I've been dreading but yet waiting for.
I always new it was on its way.
Don't hear much from my so called daddy
he's probably happy with some other family.
I guess thats what he always wanted
to live almost a thousand miles away.
I know some day he will regret it.
Not being there for my first date,
not being there to give me advice,
not being there to see me grow.
I guess I'll never know if he really loved me like he said so.
A few more years goes by
wow time sure does seem to fly.
Now I look at what I have
and a real father, a happy family is what I see.
Its a miracle how something like this could happen to me.
Somebody who listens,
somebody who really cares.
A second chance is all I ever needed
and a real daddy is what I got.

Family: A Mothers Poem
Anonymous writes
I knew in my heart that things were not right
Something was going on hidden from sight
But you are my daughter and he is my son
How could I accept what I knew he had done?
I saw how you acted when he was around
When I walked in the room there wasn't a sound
I felt that I was being torn into two
Half for my son and half for you
It was so easy to put it out of my mind
Shut out the suspicion make my eyes blind
I didn't want to believe what was going on
And now looking back I see that was wrong
I'm supposed to protect you as all mothers do
Teach you about life show you how to get through
You were victims of society gone terribly wrong
And we tried to get help for him so very long
But when you fight the authorities you cannot win
They have all the answers they make your head spin
They said it's okay he wont do that again
But all of their words were spoken in vain
To say I am sorry seems too little too late
And I would not blame you if me you did hate
If there was any way I could rub it all out
I would if I could of that’s there's no doubt
When you are grown up and have kids of your own
You'll understand my dilemma and see I was torn
I gave birth to you both and love you the same
I'm sorry you've known so much heartache and pain
I promise to you I'll do the best that I can
To be there for you whatever God's plan.
